Movies
Edward Scissorhands is the movie that made me realize that film could be an art. Although its my favorite with Casablanca following close behind, i truly believe that Godfather was probably the best movie ever made. Its timeless and flawless, even though i've rarely met a woman who doesn't fall asleep before the finish. I love the way the cinema in Japan is going, putting out movies that would make Hollywood cringe with budgets that would make most avant garde filmakers blush. Movies like Battle Royale, Versus, Suicide Club and Ichi the Killer. Tekkonkinkrito is an amazing visual buffet. Watch it. Plus anything with Johnny Depp or Bill Murray in, and anything that Tim Burton, Mel Gibson(sorry, i know hes on everyones shit list but hes done so many things that i hold dear. MAD MAX FOOL), or Jean-Pierre Jeunet(City of Lost Children, Amelie)directed. Theres so many i left out. Mi Via en Rose (not the new one that one the academy award, but the one about the boy who thought he should have been born a girl) is also a great one. Okay seriously im done. (for now) oh plus i love the charm that Tommy Yueng exudes in his films. oh yeah. almost forgot. I LOVE ZOMBIES! George Ramero is a genius, although Tom Savini was a complete dick when i met him at a con. Geez cant a guy gush? he probably had a thing going on though.

Cartoons. Dear God in heaven i love cartoons. Adult Swims the bomb, all though i dont like Tom Goes to the Mayor or that goddamndable Tim and Eric Great Job. BAD JOB! since i got back from japan i've found myself watching more anime. Monk is charming. also burn notice. Most of the rest of television is a brain rot. i @#$%@! DESPISE with every fiber of my being any and all reality shows.
i really love video games. im addicted to destroy all humans. and metal gear solid is the best game(s) ever. and god of war.
Books
The Dark Tower series, The Great Gatsby, Crime and Punishment, The Stranger, Lamb (or the gospel according to Biff Jesus' childhood friend), actually theres so many i want to put here. Pretty much anything by Chuck Palahniuk (except maybe for Haunted, which was a inspired and genuis peace of work, but it physically made me ill) and most especially Jack Kerouac. Sidhartha's pretty good too. The bible. Anything by Edgar Allen Poe or h.p. lovecraft.
Heroes

im an artist. blah. whatever that means. i do art because i have to. sometimes its fun, sometimes it tries to kill me. but isnt that the basis of any good relationship? my art falls somewhere between "lowbrow" and "superflat". i personally like to call it "bubblegum death"(c).
Also zombies, dead baby jokes, and cartoons. They, like so many random encounters in my life, are part of my very being. for better or worse. i love sugary cereals and lunch boxes with cartoon characters on them. i want see the north pole before santas house goes the way of al gore's computerized polar bears.
