| General | I like to keep busy, every day is an adventure of some sort. I practice and enjoy meditation and reiki daily, as well as teaching these and similar arts, such as: Tai Chi Chuan, Wellness Chi Gung, Five Formed Fist Shaolin Kung Fu and Filipino Martial Arts; and Min Zin, Meditation, and Usui Reiki Ryoho. I like the outdoors, hangin with real people, writing/ poetry, working out regularly, good food, cooking, and maybe even a glass of wine or two; movies, reading, the internet, good conversation, etc.......and I am a proud member of Red Sox Nation! | | Music | All kinds, from rock and roll to blues, jazz, and folk, to classical and Native, meditation and New Age type stuff....whatever....if it's live then it's even better..... | | Movies | I like all sorts of movies, some favorites being:the Wizard of Oz, the Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, the Ten Commandments, Big Trouble in Little China, Batman Begins, the Pink Panther, Animal House, and many, many others, newer, older and differing genre's. | | Television | MSNBC, the Travel Channel, the History Channel, stuff like that mostly....and of course Jerry, Seinfeld and crew...and yes, those lovable idiots, Beavis and Butthead... | | Books | Being a former 'Book a Day Club' member in Jr. H.S. who in 6th grade read at a PH.D. level in vocab. and comprehension (at a 1,000 words a minute pace) reading is like breathing to me.....in my past life I was a big sci-fi and fantasy reader, but have read any and all things of interest to me....now I read books, mags., and internet stuff mostly related to my interests.....not much fiction anymore, as I find life itself to provide plenty of drama... | | Heroes | My Mommy and the Great-Grandmaster, Dr. Maung Gyi...as well as my many and various teachers; and of course those who have helped me and inspired me along the way.....thank you!! |

About me:
Hi, this is Mike. I'm new to this virtual way of meeting people, but always looking to learn new things and meet interesting and creative people.....see my website at www.reikibutterfly.com for more info., pics, etc....as a martial and healing arts student and teacher I have been fortunate to have met and learned from some of the world's leading teachers, including: Lao Shr David J. Everett, my teacher who I was with full-time for 17+ years; the Great-Grandmaster, Dr. Maung Gyi; Grand-Tuhon Leo T. Gaje, Jr.; Sifu Manfred Steiner; Tuhon Bill McGrath; Grandmaster Fu Shu Yun; and many, many, others....I worked in an acute care rehab. hospistal for 3 years, and have been blessed to have worked with many other special needs groups as well, in addition to having taught and trained thousands of people...I love to share what I have learned and earned, and am always looking to learn more....I like to write as well, and have been published in 'Tai Chi' magazine, as well as 'Qi Journal' the 'Empty Vessel' and 'Massage Magazine,' lots of poetry as well, published here and there...Peace, Namaste', Aloha....

People of good heart, creative and involved in life in some way.....people who have similar interests as me, or those looking to learn new things or maybe even teach me a thing or two.....nothing wrong with some fun, either...real people who are young in heart, mind and body like me.....I like to have a glass of wine or two, the outdoors, pretty versatile actually....thought I was Robert Plant at one point, long, soft curls down literally to my ass! Ahh, my rock and roll daze......
