I'm a fan of good songwriting, with an intelligent way with both the music and the lyrics.
Everything from The Wildhearts (and frontman Ginger), Metallica (really), the Clash, Hamell on Trial, Antiproduct, Tom Waits, Queens of the Stone Age, Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jason Ringenberg (and the Scorchers!), Morcheeba, Massive Attack, Jackdaw 4, The Twilight Singers, Faith no More.
Sounds Like
Hamell on Trial, Tom Waits, The Wildhearts, Led Zeppelin, Massive Attack, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Chris Cornell (I wish!)
Acoustic pop music with an edge. Hard edged yet plaintive, intelligent but fun, lyrical but simple. Great melodies, intelligent lyrics, sing-along choruses. Reinventing the Wheel plays the sort of music you wish you’d thought of first.

Hello there,
If you have time, please take a moment to listen to my new song. I was awake writing and recording it over 48 hours and it means a lot to me. There is more information in my blog if you are interested.
Thanks, -jack xx
I've just dropped by Emma's my space so thought I'd drop by yours too. Firstly, like I said when we saw you the other week thanks for suggesting Mr Hudson and The Library at Summer Sundae last year, I'm now a massive fan. So here's my recommendation. Saw them in Manchester on Friday and they were supported by a band called Palladium who were amazing www.myspace.com/palladiumofficial see what you think, they're playing Summer Sundae this year!

"Hello there,
I have uploaded a new song onto the Gallery 47 myspace page. It is a pretty thing called "Hopeless" from my debut EP. If you have time, please make yourself a cup of tea and have a little listen. If you have a little listen and like, you can add the song to your profile for a little while or maybe even get a copy of the EP right here."
There we go, that spam wasn't too bad - i hope everything is okay where you are, please tell your friends...
