The word "Rejoice" means to fill with joy, or even to gladden another,
And that's exactly what the boys in Rejoyce plan on doing. From their
personalities to their live performances, this positive drawn group is
sure to crack a smile out of almost anyone.
"It's hard being a hardcore band today," Tony McVaney the vocalist
points out "We always hear, Are you a christian band? And the answer
to that is, No, We don't label ourselves as a christian band. The
material I write however very much has to do with God. I am a strong
believer in Christ, but I will not take time out of the set to preach
to an audience. We are simply about having a fun safe time and playing
ugly music for beautiful people. You can take the lyrics for what ever
you want. If they help you out religiously thats awesome, But please
don't shun us cause its not labeled."
By appearance you'd say these boys have done this for a while but
they have only been around for 6 months and have already established a
good draw, toured the east coast, and will soon be putting out an EP.
As far as live performances go you might notice lack of a bass player.
All of the bass, along with synth/sampled parts are all recorded on
tracks played through an Ipod, Giving everything a much more fuller
sound.
So what's in store for Rejoyce in the next year? "A lot of
stupid videos! (laughs) Just kidding, I hope to take it to the next
level and look at this more as our careers and tour way more. So
there's a lot of work to be done in the next 12 months." Says
guitarist Matt Luthie.
Hailing from Canton, Ohio they are Rejoyce. Give them a
listen and if they are booked on the bill stick around and take in the
joy.
The new vocals on wind are awesome! The whole song is awesome! I don't know if you want feedback on the mix but i think it would be cool if you had the kick drum a little louder. Just my opinion. I like being able to feel the kick when I am listening to music. You are doing an awesome job!
well we pretty much started to talk about different genres we liked and he said he can pretty much appreciate anything from hip hop to classical.(hes a big fan of guns and roses i guess) then he went on to say how he tries a lot to keep up with the newer bands that come out and newer genres, you know, to keep his playing skills up to date. so getting into newer music i asked him what he thought about more heavy, technical stuff, he said he enjoyed that blah blah blah he was trying to promote a band you guys played with at peabody's called City Lights, i then mentioned attack attack and you guys(pointed out the shirt)and asked him if he could check you guys out and hopefully spread good word.
and i dont think you could get a better looking member than tony lol. unless you get matt haha. jk. but i wanna see more shows and more music, i mean you have soo many great songs from your set list, where they at?? ahah.
Dear friends! We are happy to see a good year go towards a good end. Again we will be playing our Christmas Show in the Moscow Megasphere - and that really makes us happy. The Moscow crowd is one of the best in the world and we would love to have you all with is. It's gonna be one hell of a rock party! Our website has undergone major updates at the moment, but it's back and we highly recomment that you pick up your free Single and DVD "Chase the Dragon" and tell us what you think. In the meantime Rozencrantz is back in the studio, working on brand new material. As always, we will keep you updated. Best regards, Horatio
