The Owner, Taj, is a Licensed Aesthetician, Freelance Makeup Artist, Nail Technician, and holds a Bachelor Of Business Administration. She is heavily involved with the American Cancer Society's "Look Good Feel Better" Program. The program is designed to help cancer patients deal with the physical changes due to cancer treatments. Patients are given full makeup kits and taught how to care for their skin and apply makeup in a two hour class. The owner also works for a local modeling school and the in house agency as an Instructor, Model, & Professional Makeup Artist. She was a Lead Makeup Artist for the Avon Let's Talk Beauty Tour (2003). Bringing out the beauty in people is her ultimate goal.

Relaxing Minds specializes in makeup for weddings, fashion shows, specials events, tv/film, photography, and more. As part of Makeup Artistry services, we also strive to ensure clients understand the importance of proper skin care. Clients are educated about skin care during makeup artistry services. Depending on circumstance, clients may receive a mini facial before the makeup application begins. Clients are encouraged to maintain great skin and overall body care to always look their best. 2008 print/film/video MUA rates:
Hourly $100 (Booking-2 hr. minimum-$200)
Half Day $250 (4 hrs.)
Full Day $500 (8 hrs.)
*additional $50 per person. Half or full date rate must be booked in advance, otherwise hourly rate applies. These rates are negotiable on a case by case basis. Depending on location, a travel fee may be added. Hairstyling is available upon request.
NOTE: Looking to build my portfolio and help others build their portfolios. Will gladly do test shoots in exchange for photos/models. Serious Inquiries only.
Bridal/Prom/Special Occasion Rates:
Contact me for rates specific to your event. Rates for bridal, prom, and special occasion makeup starts at $50 per person. Makeup application is available to individuals wanting a new look or to update their old look starting at $30 per person.
Makeup Lessons:
Also available to teach makeup techniques including daytime, professional, photography, evening, special occasion, etc. Lessons start at $60 per person and include handouts.
