Pitch Control originated in 1998, as a music television series broadcast on the University of Texas' KVR-9 in Austin, TX. The show quickly developed a strong following and became an important media outlet showcasing both underground and mainstream Rap/Hip Hop artists such as DJ Screw, Screwed Up Click, 50 Cent, Lil Flip, Z-Ro, Botany Boys, UGK, 3-2, Scarface, Willie D, ESG, Yungstar, Grace, Outkast, M.O.P., Hot Boys, 5th Ward Boys, Raekwon, Ghostface, and many more. Pitch Control quickly made a name for itself as one of the pioneers in the urban video movement.
