Rellik Rebel is a lyricist hailing from Ellenwood, GA, a small city located east of Atlanta. In this new generation of instant music production he stands, as his name suggests, as a link to the past. While Rellik’s peers create music that follows the same stereotypical trends that most baby boomers complain about as being the problems of this generation, Rellik focuses on the essence of hip hop. Lyrical content, and subject matter are the driving forces of any Rellik song. However his lyrical complexity is equally balanced with a healthy amount of Southern swagger. Whether it be in his bass heavy track selection, or the melodic cadence with which he delivers his striking verses, the soul of the south can be heard in nearly every one of the Rebel’s songs.
After having a taste of the spotlight as the undefeated champion of hot 107.9’s Battle Rap Fridays, Rellik is gearing up for a plate of fame. “Forty to Fame” is the title of a weekly video series produced by Rellik Rebel as an outlet to showcase his lyrical skills. After realizing that there was a shortage of oppurtunities for underground artists to expose their music to the masses, Rellik created the weekly web series as a new avenue. In addition to writing new verses for each weekly “Forty to Fame” installment, Rellik is wrapping up a new mixtape entitled “Kill the DJ: Rebel without a pause” which is slated for a summer release.
Since performing in front of a packed crowd in his high school’s auditorium, Rellik’s hunger for the thrill of the show has become an almost Insatiable thirst. He has performed in front of capacity crowds at local clubs and talent competitions, In an effort to make his presence known as a force both on the stage and in the booth. One of his more notable performances was at the 2007 NCAA Three point shoot out, and slam dunk competition, a nationally televised event.
After gaining years of Experience battling emcees, performing on stage, and writing countless songs, Rellik Rebel is ready to take the music world by storm.
