Welcome to the 17th Reloaded, Wednesday March 4. Reloaded is a series of hip-hop and groove oriented nights that borrows its name from the Freeloaded Series that Groove Garden records held at the Front in the late 90s. The torch got passed to Twinkie Jiggles of Heiruspecs to bring great music in every other Wednesday that’s a little different than most of the rock nights that go down in Twin Cities nightclub. The 17th Reloaded will feature a guest curator crewwho has brought on a great night of entertainment. The Loose Crew is taking over Reloaded for the night with their new EP. It is titled “Point 08 ‘til Infinity” is keeping it going all night on this Reloaded Wednesday.
St. Paul Slim is making his third Reloaded appearance as the headliner for this EP release. Slim has been making waves in the local scene for a better part of a decade and he has reached out further in the past year with appearances on Atmosphere’s “Strictly Leakage” and with his recent releases that have been praised in national press. He is an artist to watch for in the rest of 2009 and beyond.
B.D.F. is another St. Paul artist with no shortage of fantastic songs. His full length from last year, the BDF Experience has made a lot of noise in the local scene and his artistry has been known long before he put out this CD. We are honored to have BDF joining the Reloaded stage for the first time.
DJ Smyrx will keep it interesting between sets on the turntables. Smyrx has been working hard in the Twin Cities, both as a producer/engineer and as a DJ. It is an honor to have Smyrx on the Reloaded stage for the first time.
DJ Anton will be spinning at the beginning and the end of the night. The resident Reloaded DJ will be bringing his large collection of hip-hop and beyond to entertain the Reloaded crowd. Come on down.
