Karin
Elizabeth: Lead Vocals,
Violin, Guitar, ..
A former child
prodigy on violin, Karin grew up surrounded by music. Karin studied
opera and stringed instrument performance at
Michigan State University, The
University of Michigan and WayneState University.
A former educator and orchestra director, Karin will haunt you with
belty blues vocals and electrifying violin solos, skillfully crafting
each wide-ranging musical genre that Remedy plays.
Larry Braden:
Lead Guitar, Vocals
An original founding
member of Remedy in the 90’s, Larry is a studious guitarist whose R&B,
Detroit Rock, and Motown Soul chops will make you feel every note down
to the bone. Larry started playing guitar at age eight and began
playing professionally at age fourteen. Larry has performed and
recorded with several bands in the
Detroit area for many years. Larry expertly re-creates the varied rock
and dance sounds you love to hear.
Billy DeAngelo:
Drums, Vocals
One part rock and
roll legend, and three parts pure rhythmic energy, drummer and vocalist
Billy DeAngelo embodies the vintage rock cool that is smoking-hot with
today’s crowd. His dynamic and professionally accurate style is perfect
for any venue, whether rock, dance, acoustic or corporate. Formerly a
founding member of the critically acclaimed local band ‘Government
Honey,’ Billy has played with such acclaimed acts as Blue Oyster Cult,
Foghat, Robin Trower, Molly Hatchet, The Smithereens and Night Ranger.
James Holt:
Bass, Vocals
Formerly of
Detroit’s own best-loved band, ‘Five-Below,” Jim Holt provides the thump
for your bump-and-grind. Jim, a meticulous bassist, has spent decades
in the music business entertaining crowds and recording songs. Jim
hails originally from Detroit’s
industrial “downriver” area, and the cold, steely motor-city backdrop
provides the inspiration for the complex bottom of Remedy’s
rhythm section. Jim will match your head-bobbing, toe-tapping rhythms
with his inherent groove and attention to detail. His bass is the solid
heartbeat of the Remedy sound.
Tony Karam:
Keyboards, Piano
Born and raised in
Michigan, Tony Karam started piano lessons at age 5. Since then he has
made a living teaching and performing music. A lover of all music,
especially blues and jazz, Tony has taught piano and guitar for over 13
years and owns his own music teaching studio in Rochester were he
currently lives. Students of Tony’s have gone onto Berklee College of
Music and other places in pursuit of careers in music. Tony Karam has
shared the same stage with national acts such as Journey, Eddie Money,
Ted Nugent and Creedence Clearwater revisited.
