Basketball!!! That was Brian's greatest love! He loved everything about the game, playing it, watching it, reading about it, coaching it, teaching it, movies on it, TV shows about it, everything! He was an excellent basketball player! Brian explored many things in his lifetime. He played baseball, soccer, took gymnastic, ran track, participated in the State Games for both track & gymnastics, but basketball was his all time favorite.
He loved to play pool and he was damn good too! He had a really nice pool stick but apparently left it in a bar one night. When he went to find it someone had taken it! If you know who has, please return it! His family would like to have it!
Rob 'Mac' taught him to throw horseshoes and I understand he was damn good at that too!
Brian was interested in life! I found a pink index card in his wallet when he died with a list of things to do, this is what it said;
1)Oil Change
2)Pay Bills
3)Travel Claim
4)Gym
5)Get Wasted
Some moms might have been horrified! I was glad to see that his priorities were in order! He knew what was important & he did his best to do those things first! He liked to go out with his friends & have a good time! I would say that people were a genuine interest for him. He loved to dance & he was a good dancer!!!

Brian had a wide variety of music that he listened to. His favorite song was Simple Man, he really liked the one by Shinedown and he was indeed a simple man...
He loved Rock & Roll, he listened to a lot of Rap & Hip Hop, he liked Bob Marley & some good old fashioned Reggae, I can still picture him singing & dancing to "Don't Worry, Be Happy!" This could probably be his theme song for his life, he lived & gave to the world with a smile & an attitude of Don't Worry, Be Happy!

He also loved Noah Garrett's music & was one of his greatest fans! Noah released his debut CD last April titled, Good Times, Good Friends
Movies
Brian loved movies! He could memorize lines from movies repeating them word for word. Brian's favorite movie ever was Young Guns. He could recite word for word the entire movie! This from a guy who couldn't keep up with his cell phone or keys...go figure!
Brian's first movie he ever watched was The Wizard of Oz~ he was about 3 years old... I hope his world now is as beautiful as the land of Oz!
Other favorites of his; The Godfather, Scarface, Boondock Saints, Hoosiers, Hoop Dreams, Rebound, The Goood, The Bad & The Ugly, Pulp Fiction, Happy Gilmore, The Italian Job to name a few.

Television
He loved the series The OC. His friends in Maryland shared with me how he would stop whatever he was doing to go watch his show! They would laugh and tell him he didn't have to go but he would tell them I'll be back in about an hour and off he went to watch the OC!
Brian enjoyed the TV for relaxing & entertainment. When he was still at home he oftened found old movies to watch at night. He liked it all, scary, comedy, drama, documentary, whatever caught his interest at the time.
Books
His favorite reading was sports stuff, mostly basketball! I know he also read a few novels & biographies. One was of Michael Jordan.
I know he read his bible now & then along with a couple other spiritual books he was given by me & other friends.
I think he liked information & he liked stuff that spoke about life & how others lived and believed.

Heroes
Girly Myspace Layouts
I am confident in saying that one of his heroes is definitely Michael Jordan!!! He had followed his career, had a life size stand up of him, read his books and often smiled & chanted, "I wanna be like Mike!"
Brian also liked Tupac & I am quite sure they've met now!
I would say that for Brian Eddie, anyone who lives each day the best that they can is a hero. To overcome hardships, to smile even when you may not feel like it, to reach out to someone when no one else will and to love people for who they are, that is a hero to Brian...

Who I'd like to meet:
Few things in life can be understood, but the reasoning behind this unforgivable sin is particularly perplexing and even disturbing. A man whom so many of us held close to our hearts is no longer with us. Instead, a relentless numbing sorrow fills the hollowness of our hearts.
I am proud to confess that I am among the close-knit circle of friends that Brian was a part of. We were friends for roughly seven years. We would always meet back up in Fayetteville no matter where our careers or schools took us. His kind of charm and gentle spirit was one that every girl fell instantly in love with. Everyone loved Brian Eddie. He was truly a peacemaker among our group and was known for that ever since I knew of him. His life was too precious and meaningful to put into words and to be taken in such a careless and meaningless fashion truly shows that this killer did not know who Brian was. If he had, he would have realized the anguish that his death would cause to so many people.
The world, at least for me and my friends from Fayetteville, is a much more sad and lonely place without our “missing” friend. Going back to Fayetteville now and revisiting the places that Brian, I, and our friends once made so many great memories are now filled with only that---memories. Except now those memories carry a burden almost unbearable to carry due to a careless, selfish act of violence.
In closing, so many people will carry this pain with them, including me, for their entire lives. I feel sorrowful for my friends and I, but I also feel sorry for the great children that he will never raise, for the soul mate that he will never meet, for the lives that he will never touch, and mostly for Brian because he was robbed at such a very early age of these great experiences that we all look forward to as milestones of life. I will do everything and anything necessary to help see to it that justice prevails in Brian’s name – for it is a name that stands for what is true, honorable, and just.

Dear Brian, You are missed more than my words can express, And my love for you still grows larger not less, I wonder if you watch us now, Trying to find our way through life somehow, I think that surely you must, Be looking after all of us, And now & then I look up to see, If maybe I can catch a glimpse of you looking at me! Be at peace my baby boy, Know that you brought me so much joy, And I know one day we'll be together again, I'll keep you close in my heart until then...
