The name Remembering Venice is really the definition of why the band exists and continues to write music the way they do.
Mel Burns (Lead Singer) and Robert Stein (Drummer) went to an elementary school in Sandusky, Ohio called Venice Heights. This school was one of the things the band members had in common in their past.
The music that is written by RV generally deals with life. Anything and eveything life can throw at you. The good and bad days you encounter are merely transformed into melodies and music that create RV's unique yet familiar sound. Because RV's music is about remembering life or remembering the past we decided to name the band after an elementary school signifying Remembering the Past or Remembering Venice.
Remembering Venice has had an exciting first three years. Touring around America down to Louisiana, Kansas, North Carolina, Tennessee and more RV has seen it's fair share of the music industry and it fair share of musicians.
Later joined to RV was Lead Guitarist Jason Julian of Cleveland, Ohio. His ability to write, and his influences of the post-grunge era have added the ingredients to give RV their thick sound they have today.
Lastly joining RV was band member Jamie Dickman of Sandusky, Ohio. Jamie's ability to play the styles of funk and metal have definitely brought RV soaring to new heights in their music writing.
What is Remembering Venice? We can play and write forever but it's the fans that make Remembering Venice.

The New Album titled "The Beauty of Broken Things" has been delayed however...RV is being patient with the songs that will go on the album in hopes of releasing on amazing record. RV would like to thank Alex whom has helped us with studio work and producing of the song "On My Own".
