A hard driving traditional bluegrass band. We offer superb musicianship, hauntingly tight harmonies, traditional and contemporary lead vocal styles, original material, humor, and history in every performance. And each member is as personable as they are talented, believing the audience comes first. . The band has been compared to the The Johnson Mountain Boys.
From Central Pennsylvania, comes one of the hottest bands in the bluegrass genre, Remington Ryde. Remington Ryde was formed as a bluegrass band in November of 2002 with the sole purpose of promoting bluegrass music all throughout the state. After winning crowds at each show, they have grown in popularity, released 5 full length albums and one CD single,” I’ll Wait For You,” which has been played by bluegrass radio stations all throughout the country. They have successfully hosted their 2nd Annual Remington Ryde Bluegrass Festival last year and are pleased to announce that the 3rd festival is set for July 10-11, 2009 in Reedsville, Pennsylvania.
Their relentless touring schedule of over 80 dates per year has earned them one of the busiest bands in all of bluegrass music. They are loved by festival-goers and bluegrass fans from all over the East Coast. The band is exploding into the national scene.
In 2007, Remington Ryde released their first professional project with Green Valley Records in Hughesville, Pennsylvania.” This album earned them a showcase at Cabin Fever in Hampton, Virginia in 2008. The album also helped the group land some of the best bluegrass festivals in the Northeast. Some Pennsylvania Bluegrass Festivals include Wind Gap, OATS, AFBA, Bluegrass by the Lakes, Mountain Top, Crow’s Nest, Pocono Mountain, Smoked Country Jam, and the NEPA Bluegrass Festival. In New York, the group has played Pickin in the Pasture’s, Catskill Mountain, Thousand Island, Norwich Family, Top of the Hill, and Bluegrass in Greenville. In West Virginia, the group has played the Sagebrush Round-up. The group has really expanded in the state of North Carolina playing Lorraine Jordan’s Carolina Road Festival, Bluegrass by the Lakes, Bluegrass Blast, and the White Oak Shores Festival. Also, some other notable festivals the band has performed at would include the Pemi Valley Bluegrass Festival in Campton, New Hampshire, James King Bluegrass Festival in Virginia, Arcadia Bluegrass Festival in Maryland, and many others.
It is no mystery why this band is becoming so popular so quickly. They offer superb musicianship, hauntingly tight harmonies, traditional and contemporary lead vocal styles, original material, humor, and history in every performance. And each member is as personable as they are talented, believing the audience comes first. They do everything they can to show that, from their stage performances, to the lively conversation with any and all who want to visit afterwards. It really is quite simple…
