Bio
Remora Deign is a band with a name that mostly everyone mispronounces. In case you're curious, its pronounced "Re-MORE-Uh DANE."
Remora Deign was conceived in very early 2004 by bassist Ben Milliron, and Kyle Hoffman (Guitar, vocals). The two had been playing together for awhile in other projects, and had outstanding musical chemistry together. They soon recruited drummer Steve Herrell into the mix and the trio began writing material and playing local shows. A few months later, they added a second guitarist to the equation by the name of Tad Oakes. Now the newly fabricated quartet felt like the mix was complete.They began playing as many shows as possible, though this was always a challenge as all of the members lived quite far away, and Steve had just started college. Regardless of this, they began to thrive and get only better at each practice., and doing as much as they could to pursue their love of this "band." Several months later, they had enough time and money to record their first album titled "Red Skies and Lullabies." The band was very excited to complete this project, and once it was finished, their excitement transformed into disappointment. They realized that the recordings did not live up to their expectations, and knew there were many aspects of the music they had to revamp. The four marched on. They kept writing, playing, and doing their best to not give up, though the challenges only escalated further, due to all four members attending different colleges.
In October of 2006, the band made the decision to replace Tad Oakes. They quickly assigned Adam "Hawry" Holley, a long time friend and "fifth unofficial member," to the position. Things stayed this way until June of 2007 when Steve and Adam quit due to their own personal reasons. This left the finishing and Funding of the album in the hands of Ben and Kyle. In order to fill in the gap left by the two departing members, Garth Porter and Corey Swartz agreed to hop on board. Garth now plays Drums and Ben switched to playing guitar so that Corey could play bass. Things have been going great with this new line up and the band has received a new breath of life.

Hey Everyone We Are Finally Doing The Formal Dance That Everyone Has Been Asking About. We are calling it The Party Trax Summer Formal Dance It Will Be On Saturday June 28 At The Sligo Rec. Center From 7-11pm The whole reason we decided to have this is because we know how much dresses and tux’s are and we think it is a waste of money to only wear them once a year. So we decided that we could do a “Prom Themed” Dance so them old dresses and things could get worn again. Also I know in school they only allow people Under 20 to come as a guest. Not This Time! If you are dating someone over 21 and you want to bring then, that’s fine with us. Note. This is still a under 21 dance but if people come over 21 they will still not be allowed to drink and have to follow all the same rules. We will (hopefully) have someone to take pics of you and your guest and we are even throwing around the idea of having a Cash Balloon Drop. If you never came to one of our dances before this would be the one you want to come to. If you have came before try to bring some one new so they can see how much fun we have. Hey Everyone Our Sister Site Clarion Shows Is Having A Show On Friday, June 13 Called Invasion Of The Bands At The Sligo Rec. Center the cost will be $8.00 a person doors will open at 5:30pm at the show starts at 6:00pm The Bands Playing is Aristocracy, Darby Redford, Remora Deign, Nervous Existence, And Hometown Fav. 44th Theory. This event will be ran just like our other Dances No ALOCOHOL, DRUGS, FIGHTING, ETC. The Only Differnce will be that we are leting ALL ages in over and under 21.
