I'm sorry. MySpace has blocked my playlists and I don't feel like building another one using their player. So there! Pthbbbb!

    CHOOSE YOUR PLAYLIST:
Saltgunners Collection: My TV Show Soundtrack Is Better Than Yours!

Rock Music PlaysWhy, yes. I'm HomicidalPhotobucketCan I Interest You in Some Badass?

WHAT I DO IN MY SPARE TIME: writing, my girls, ballroom dancing (I don't wear the skimpy outfits and I'm very much an amateur, but I can tango, cha-cha, rumba so if you like to dance, ring me up. But I don't club dance), reading (currently Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels-quite hilarious), Nintendo DS (Crosswords or Brain Age though I'm trying My Sims Kindom), a bit of knitting, movies, my girls. Also like to keep up with Strongbad, Order of the Stick and DM of the Rings-a few online comics/videos. Funny? Very yes! Can you guess where my time goes? Why does it surprise Sir Charles that I'm up until 2am when my whole day is doing whatever the kids need/want or the chores? Me-time comes after everyone else is in bed.
THINGS I WOULD LIKE TO DO: learn to ride a motorcycle-maybe one of those "Hersters"; Karate or Tai-Kwon-Do; learn to play the drums; learn how to shoot a bow (I did the rifle bit in ROTC already. That was a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away). I'd like to travel more, especially across the pond. Can you believe I actually turned down a honeymoon in the Vigin Islands to go to DisneyWorld? Heck, the Star Wars exhibit had just opened; ya think I'm gonna miss that?

Maroon 5, Rob Thomas, Matchbox 20, Sting/The Police, Evanescence, Gwen Stefani, Staind, Linkin Park, Liz Phair, Duran Duran, Blue October, Fergie, Billy Joel, Elton John and a bunch of miscellaneous artists. I've recently rekindled an affection for certain Classic Rock tunes, which I blame on my favorite TV show Supernatural
  • Movies

For Hasbro Action figure packaging The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars (the original trio), Harry Potter,Indiana Jones, Spider-Man (all), Iron Man, Serenity, Wall-E, Kung-Fo Panda, Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail, Poltergeist (the 1st only, please), The Princess Bride, Stargate, Disturbia, The Bourne Trilogy, Dirty Dancing, The Fisher King http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots.html
  • Television

This is Jack! Photobucket Supernatural, StarGate SG-1 and Atlantis, Heroes, Chuck, Dirty Jobs, Lost, Firefly, Farscape, The Dead Zone, MacGyver (yeah, yeah, yeah), The Dresden Files. I'm currently watching DVDs of shows that aren't on any more; like "The Invisible Man" and "Dark Angel." Of course, now that summer is here, I have to watch Season 1 and 2 of Supernatural over and over again. ..

  • Books

JK Rowling, Weis & Hickman, CJ Cherryh, Robert Jordan, Jonathan Kellerman, Melanie Rawn, Laurell K Hamilton, Anne McCaffrey, Sue Grafton, Jim Butcher, John Ringo, David Eddings, Star Wars novels (some of them), Alan Dean Foster. No, I don't read too much else; I want an escape from real life when I read. When I want a really quick read and a good laugh, I read a romance (takes about a day and makes me feel good. Oh, I believe in romance but the novels are hilariously unreal. Kinda like watching soaps.)
  • Heroes

my mom-she's a great mom & grandma (without her and my dad, we'd be in such trouble) plus she's super-nurse. My dad, too. Well, he's not a nurse, but he helps train the astronauts. That's cool. On a completely different note: the Playlist pics comes from the RPG "Shaiya". I don't play, but the pics and wallies are cool.

About me:

"Whether sixty or sixteen, there is in every human being's heart the lure of wonder, the unfailing child-like appetite of what's next, and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station; so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long are you young."- Samuel Ullman
"What do I believe? As an American I believe in generosity, in liberty, in the rights of man. These are social and political faiths that are part of me, as they are, I suppose, part of all of us. Such beliefs are easy to express. But part of me too is my relation to all life, my religion. And this is not so easy to talk about. Religious experience is highly intimate and, for me, ready words are not at hand." - Adlai Stevenson

"If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome." - Anne Dudley Bradstreet
"What seem our worst prayers may really be, in God's eyes, our best. Those, I mean, which are least supported by devotional feeling. For these may come from a deeper level than feeling. God sometimes seems to speak to us most intimately when He catches us, as it were, off our guard." ~C.S Lewis~
I'm several things:
-I'm an RN charge nurse for a surgical/cardiac unit at a local hospital.
-I'm a bit of a grammar/spelling freak. Misspelling drives me nuts (especially my own). I can frequently be overheard laughing at things that are misspelled or grammatically incorrect-especially when said goofs result in off-the-wall meanings. I actually read that book "Eats, Shoots and Leaves" and enjoyed it immensely.
-I'm a mother to 3 girls and they aren't dainty little princesses. They're just as loud & rambunctious as a group of boys. I just got out of the "pull my finger" jokes.
-I'm a wife of some odd years. And I do mean odd! And by turns boring, exasperating, thrilling & joyful.
-I'm also a writer. Unpublished but I write. Been working on a novel but now I'm dabbling in fanfiction. (Guess what show. Oh! The Grand Prize!) I don't always have the time to hound the agents like I should be but I keep plugging away, mostly on short stories now because I seem to have hit a massive block with my novel. I put the synopsis up at livejournal, with the intention of joining a writer's group there. You know, when I actually leave MySpace. Once I actually get up the nerve, I'll send queries out again.

You Are a Humanitarian
http://www.blogthings.com/whatdoesyourbirthdatemea...

You're so intuitive, it's like you have a sixth, seventh, and eighth sense.
You connect with others freely and easily - and you tend to have many best friends.
Warm and caring, it's hard for you to close your heart to anyone.
Affection is like air for you - you need to give and receive it to survive.

Your strength: Your universal compassion

Your weakness: Your unpredictable mood swings

Your power color: Mauve

Your power symbol: Butterfly

Your power month: February

What Does Your Birth Date Mean?

Who I'd like to meet:

Lots of ideas here! There are lots of people I wouldn't mind shaking hands with but I'm not going to stalk them; gas is too expensive. Isn't that what the internet is for? LOL! Like I'm going to meet one of my fangirl crushees and sweep him off his feet-my lightening sharp wit, you know.(Well, this is a fantasy themed site, isn't it? A girl's gotta have a dream. LOL.) Speaking of sharp wits: Mike Rowe is awesome-it's those eyes and that quick repartee. Give me a guy with a sense of humor any day (tall is a must also; I'm not exactly petite and dainty). Wouldn't mind meeting Jensen Ackles, Nathan Fillion, Mel Gibson or Harrison Ford, Ellen Degeneres or Steve Martin.
Come to think of it, I'd like to ask JK Rowling if she knows an agent. Aw, heck. She's in England. How about Melanie Rawn, CJ Cherryh or Anne McCaffrey? (crap, she's in the UK, too, I think) Ideas, anyone?
