He started studying classic guitar when he was 5 years old. At the age of 26 he got a degree in Electronic Engineering at Rome University. Later on he founded a music school teaching for many years classic guitar and harmony. Since then, he had been studying jazz guitar, piano, percussion and electronic music.
Renato is a versatile guitarist who has played with many different bands varying his repertoire from latin music (rumba gitana, samba, andin music), to jazz, blues and rock. He’s author, composer and arranger of many songs and tunes for both guitar and piano.
Since 2005 he’s the leader of the “Estalegal Band”, a project that merges Popular Brasilian Music with jazz and pop songs. With Estalegal he has participated to several music contests and festivals and has recently recorded a CD ("Noite brava") including 10 original songs/tunes.
At the moment he’s also playing with Tony Esposito and Jim Porto, as composer and guitar soloist.
Renato has also founded a consulting and training Company (called MultiOlistica) that operates in the fields of management and communication.

Dopo gli studi di chitarra classica, intrapresi fin da bambino, e la Laurea in Ingegneria Elettronica, ha insegnato per molti anni chitarra acustica ed armonia dedicandosi parallelamente anche allo studio della chitarra jazz, del pianoforte, delle percussioni e della musica elettronica. Chitarrista versatile, ha fatto stabilmente parte di diversi gruppi musicali in qualità di leader e coautore, variando il proprio repertorio da contesti prettamente “latini” (rumba gitana, samba, musica andina), al jazz ed al blues, fino al rock elettrico. E’ autore, compositore ed arrangiatore di molti brani per chitarra e pianoforte. Dal 2005 è leader della Band Estalegal, un progetto che fonde musica popolare brasiliana, jazz, e canzone d'autore. Con gli Estalegal ha partecipato a numerosi concerti e festival ed ha da poco registrato un Album ("Noite brava") contenente 10 brani originali molti dei quali scritti da lui. Al momento, oltre all’impegno con gli Estalegal, collabora con Tony Esposito e Jim Porto in qualità di chitarrista e compositore. Accanto alla professione di musicista svolge, attraverso una propria società ("MultiOlistica"), attività di consulenza e formazione nel campo del management e della comunicazione.
