KARMAKULT Join the Karmic Revolution, become part of the kult...
Australia's premier multicultural progressive rock band and totally independent. In contrast to the contrived pop dominating the airwaves this group stands out in originality and creativity. Original hard rock fused with Indian & Turkish music to create a sound that immediately entrances the listener. Karmakult are an excellent live act that ensure a memorable performance, as those that have seen them live will attest. The buzz is that this is the band to watch as they successfully transcend the touring circuits with their unique sound. The cover of the hit song Because I love you on the latest release The Art of Illusion is representative of the brilliant fusion sound of this unique group.
Currently touring to promote The Art of Illusion, the music is familiar to lovers of classic rock, but ingeniously incorporates elements of Eastern cultural music.
You will hear a diverse range of instruments and influences at a Karmakult performance as well as Suresh's amazing voice, flute and instruments. Boasting a wide tenor range, he reaches sweet highs reminiscent of Bryan Adams and husky lows, that are very "Peter Gabrielesque".
Its all rock, its great original songs, its a fusion of progressive rock with Middle Eastern, European and Asian cultural music that messes up your senses then forces your brain to adapt. The pulsations of Karmakult will open your mind and ears to new possibilities in rock music. This group delivers with hard rock, ballads and world music all in one excitingly diverse package.
As one audience member said recently "it's like the lovechild of the Moody Blues, Jethro Tull and Joe Satriani!". "The making of the second album started immediately after Aum, with songs like Drawn and One More already written." says Suresh. But what was really needed was the right combination of life circumstances and musicians to bring it to life.
It took several years and line-up changes to form his second band after Aum, but he finally did it with the group now known as Karmakult to record the The Art of Illusion. "This band is the core of my music now and they breathe a whole new life into my creations. I am very lucky to have such a great group of talented people, who've also become my close friends, to record and tour with. They bring their own spirit and interpretations to the music, so that it becomes more than the sum of it's parts - it becomes living art." says Suresh. The crew are a great team that work together to bring to the audience a unique and memorable concert experience. In recognition of this, the group changed it's name to Karmakult in Oct 2007.

The basic difference between ASCAP and APRA is simple at the core. The ASCAP contract is non-exclusive where as the APRA contract is exclusive. When you give exclusive control to your copyright upto an NGO governed by a corporate monopolists, strange things happen with your copyright. Strange illusions and explanations about copyright evolve through more NGO's that explain themselves to be councils for the people. The corporations have both sides of the coin by the balls, as they do with all things. The commons is most likely not the solution, yet exclusive control of your copyright, is for sure not the solution. You are tied to a Union that is a lie. APRA is lie and you have fallen for it. Its on par with the fed reserve... get out while you can, ASCAP is only a solution if you have something to collect! ASCAP in the US allow artists to license their art using any creative commons license and remain a member. Australian artists can join/transfer to ASCAP.
From childhood we all have music within us. Dream of music to fill our lives’ Dream of music to fill our soul Dream of Music of all varieties.
When we grow we all feel they rhythms of music within our life Sadly most of forget how music filled our lives as we all tend to grow up and out of music. The Dreamers keep all aspects of the music. To others they follow the general flow and go to show the substance is a cash flow.
The Dream of music has been hidden. Because of our families, we are all driven to go with societies flow.
No matter how it goes. The dreams of music is never forgotten Put in a cupboard of mind And pressured to conform.
The Real dreamers are never forgotten. Their lives are filled with passion, Imagination and regeneration of music.
The note are formed The keys are heard The words are written and all is put together.
In heart this music flow. To reach your ears, your body, your soul. The music has vibrations that will always grow within you. It matches your vibrations and then it reaches deep within you, you become apart of music and music becomes a part of you.
The Music, just like you grows. Man knows that music comes from deep within. For Music dreamers have been passes on from the beginning of time, right up till this very day.
Music Of dreams will always become a part of everyone’s heart. This is where every woman, child and man knows’, that this is part of everyone’s dream. This is where Music and Dreams become one. Each person feels the music, their own way. Each person feels the belonging of music. Each being feels. This is where music really grows.
