Hiya! i never thought this day would come but i just received an acceptance letter from the China Volunteer Program through the Global Volunteer Network.
"Dear John,
I would like to congratulate you on being accepted into the China Volunteer Program.
Our partner organization in China has selected you to volunteer for 3 months starting in March 2010. As a volunteer in our Teaching program, you have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of boys and girls by empowering them with education so they have the skills needed to overcome poverty and advance towards the same opportunities as their peers around the world..."

Now here's the "tough" part to the plan. I have to raise a lot of funds to cover costs for flights, tourist visa (if applicable), travel vaccinations, travel insurance, corresponding airport departure tax, transportation to the airport on departure, personal spending money (e.g. bottled water, entertainment, snack food).
This has been a vision of mine for about two years now and I am very eager to get out there, and sincerely i do not even know if i will be willing to come back.
I thank God for the church He has provided for me to be raised in and to learn a lot of essential tools that will be needed in this a small but large part of my calling!
I believe God has appointed this day for me to do this and i know through His guidance i will acquire all necessary funds.
I am only going to ask that all believers that read this will put me in their prayers, and any of my friends that do not know God on this level to simply give me an "at a boy and good luck."
Should you feel the need to help my need in these times of need (lol) i would be a fool to turn away your blessing.
PLEASE all put this in your prayers for me and for the children in China.
