About me:

.. ..
..

I am the author of "Stumbling Toward Faith" -- re-released by Zondervan in 2008. You can see all the info about the book, and order it at stumblingtowardfaith.com.I am the Web content specialist at Youth Specialties. I am the managing editor for The Journal of Student Ministries, and blog and am on staff at Infuze Magazine. I'm also a rock star! Download my song "American Fado" at iTunes (for the backstory, see my blog)

I collect snow globes and bags. My prize possession is a saddlebag from Cirque Du Soleil. It's made out of material from the tent! It's blue and yellow, slightly scuffed, and it smells like acrobat/circus sweat.

I have a habit of building altars in my spaces. I usually craft them from candles, stones, and other things I find meaningful. I think it's my way of preserving the sacred in my mundane moments--of creating something special in the midst of the ordinary.

I have a daughter and husband who are the lights of my life. I've been married 12 years this year, and my kid will be 9 that very same month.

You can hear a recent 2-hour interview with me, on the Steve Brown etc. Show here.

I am married, motherless, a mother. I am iced cappucino and almond-honey scones. I am gregorian chants. I am daffodils and irises and lilies and ivy. I am chocolate covered espresso beans, patchouli oil and raspberry bubble bath. I am dried flowers and vaulted ceilings, I am sandalwood incense and stubby white candles, I am a convertible with the top down in a thunder and lightning storm, I am Bach and Beethoven and the Unfinished Symphony. I am actively seeking. I am wanting to believe and yet afraid to. I am doubt and belief, I am found and am lost. I am done and undone, fragmented and whole.

Who I'd like to meet:

folks who have read Stumbling Toward Faith, other people navigating their life and their spirituality, others full of both belief and unbelief, others who are both fragmented and whole.

Gramma gonna eat your fingers, or you are what you eat-

well its been one of those days. I was folding laundry in my bedroom and my grandson is jumping on the bed.
Im trying to keep this 2 yr old busy so mom can shower.
he suddenly stops jumping and says look, he holds out 2 fingers.
I say "Gramma gonna eat your fingers."
I put them in my mouth and pretend to eat them. then I go back to folding clothes.
He's quiet now and I turn to look at him. He has sullen face and I say whats wrong,
He says sadly "wheres my booger."

Lesson learned, dont eat the baby's fingers- ah and Happy mothers day to you!

    Good Morning!

Thank you so much for that comment, it means a lot to me. 99.99% of the time, I dislike pics of myself. The lighting/b&w made it turn out so good.
    :)

    I hope you have a great day/weekend!
