Renee has a passion for all people of all walks of life, coupled with her other passion for all language and literature.
Combine all this with a skill to create some astounding music and we have a little more than just a budding artist.
Renee has a skill to appreciate any genre of music which makes producing an album a tricky task, trying to sort out the reggae from the jazz to the haunting Celtic teaser of Fly Away, to the country style of Picton Gold to the Hip Hop of Bonnie.
Different lyrics require a diferent beat and so Renee simply puts the melody which arrives to her, usually at the same time as the lyrics do.
Renee at age 18 has now written more than 150 songs including a set of 18 for her own musical, Seacliff the demise of ward 5. All her songs are recorded at home on her PC using her Yamaha keyboard for backing and all vocals are Renee, except on the first 18 songs she recorded up until the age of 14.

Three Prizes For Silverwoodstudio In Online Awards 8th April 2008 Kiwi act Silverwoodstudio took out a hat-trick of "Golden Kayaks" in the recent Independent Artist Company & Cashbox Magazine online Indie awards. The online ceremony, drawing an audience of 87,000 listeners, was held on Sunday 6th April.
The three gold awards each came in different categories, with songs Gondwana and With You Now triumphing in the World Music and Ambient sections respectively, as well as a live performance award for female vocalist Lori Asquith.
Rebecca sent on the Queen of Hearts video. Amazing! Not only do you have a great voice, but you know how to convey so much meaning. Thanks for sharing your talent. :)
