Resolving the racist injustices created by the war on drugs. See Norm Stamper, former Chief of Police of Seattle and author of Breaking Rank in this interview below. He's brilliant.
Ending environmental racism.
"Change will come when the white men in this society realize the chemicals in the environment are causing their testicles to shrink. Then the money's going to flow like water to the environmental movement."

The Red Road
BEFORE one can travel the Red Road, it would be most helpful to know exactly what it is. You should know that the Red Road runs from north to south, and it is the good or straight way, for the north is purity and the south is the source of life. You should also know that there exists a 'blue' or 'black' road. This road runs from east to west, and it is the path of error and destruction. The person who would travel on this path is one who is distracted, and is ruled by his senses, living for himself rather than for his people.
To walk the Red Road is to know the Great Spirit, it is to know the six powers. To walk the Red Road is to walk quietly, developing respect for everything and everyone around you. It is speak kindly, caring for the people, the winged, the four legged, and all else that lives here on the skin of the Earth Mother. It is knowing that every person and everything created by the Great Spirit has some knowledge to pass on to one who will listen with an open heart, and open mind.
You must respect yourself. If you are your own enemy, your heart will be closed, and your spirit dark. You must respect your mate, and let him or her walk in your sould, not in your shadow. You must learn to forgive. We are all related, we are all related to each other.
If people find no room in their lives to pray or meditate, to reflect deeply on why they have been created and what they must do with their lives, and to listen with all of their being to the guidance, then those people are like birds who have not yet learned to fly.All of the parts are present, but something is still missing. To be a whole person is to be alive in a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual way.
As we travel along the Red Road, we will learn from everybody that we meet. Some of our experiences are good, some are bad, but all are for a purpose. For good to exist it must be accepted that evil must also exist. This balance is required in order for either to be. With this in mind at all times, take care to accept things as they are, and not judge them, as the Creator is the only one who is in a position to judge the merits of anything or anybody.
The physical world is real. The Spiritual world is real. These two are just aspects of one reality. Yet, there are seperate laws which govern each of them. Violation of spiritual law can affect the physical world, and violation of the physical laws can affect the spiritual world.
A balanced life is one that honors the laws of both world

The Chalice and The Blade, Worse Than Watergate, The Interview with The Vampire series, Breaking Rank by Norm Stamper, Custor Died For Your Sins
Here is an excerpt:
Custer Died For Your Sins Vine Deloria 1969
"America has always been a militantly imperialistic world power eagerly grasping for economic control over weaker nations. The Indian wars of the past should rightly be regarded as the first foreign wars of American history. As the U.S. marched across the continent, it was creating an empire by wars of foreign conquest just as England and France were doing in India and Africa. Certainly the war with Mexico was imperialistic, no more or less than the wars against the Sioux, Apache, Utes and Yakimas. In every case the goal was identical: land.
When the frontier was declared officially closed in 1890, it was only a short time before American imperialistic impulses drove this country into the Spanish-American War and the acquisition of America's Pacific Empire began. Also in Central and South America. There has not been a time since the founding of the republic when the motives of this country were innocent. Is it any wonder that other nations are extremely skeptical about its real motives in the world today?
No society which has real and lasting values need rely on force for their propagation. The wheel of Karma grinds slowly but it does grind finely. And it makes a complete circle."

Who I'd like to meet: Oyate Wakan Pilamiya
My ancestors, the one's I didn't meet in this lifetime. The ones who sacrificed so much. My neighbors. And work together to create a sustainable community.
I'd like to meet my grandchildren. Hell, my great grandchildren too.
It would have been great to meet Vine Deloria Jr, I was able to interview his son and he's kind and amazing. Most of the folks I want to meet who are alive I am able to interview, so this question is a bit tough for me. I think I'm okay.
I"m okay. But to be honest it hasn't been easy out here. In fact the last few months have been horrible! This recession is no joke. hahahah. All in all, i've accomplished a bit, worked on a few plays, movies and short films. Usually for pennies or nothing...but my credits are getting stronger (i'm stage managing an off broadway show right now) so I'm confidant something is coming up. If not, I'm planning on prob going back to umich to take some classes in the fall or next year anyway.
also: i recently came across old renegade stuff and it really made my day and usually makes my day! And I'm happy to hear your voice back on the radio. Hows that going? How are you? What's new? I really really miss you!
Charm, did you get the pics? When are we going to go out again? Man that was a great time. Felt like I was in high school again. LMAO. You are beautiful and smart as ever! Call me!!!
