"And We Drove" - Rene Hart
This is a demo I recently did for a tune I wrote. It turned out pretty nice so I thought I'd share it. With Erik Lawrence on Saxophone and myself on everything else.

And on a more personal note...
I play the bass, mostly the upright bass.
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. I love the ocean. I once sailed to Greenland, watched whales swim under the ship, nearly died in a massive storm, climbed onto an iceburg and watched the northern lights from above the artic circle as they consumed the entire sky. As a child I lived in a teepee for a summer. I miss the country, but now I miss the city when I'm there. I like a lot of different kinds of music, especially soulful music made by real people.
Sometimes I get infatuated with playing the upright bass through all sorts of gadgets like wah-wah pedals and laptops... whatever makes a cool sound.
I am finally beginning to put my own music together. I've been writing music that I really love but have been too busy to make it happen the way it needs to. I think of this music like a bunch of strangely constructed dioramas. Now that time is coming up on the horizon and I'm pretty excited about it.
