My main influences come from listening to my fellow musicians play. Then comes the music from my home country, HAITI: Tropicana d'Haiti, Emeline Michel, Magnum band, Coupé Cloué, Beethovas Obas, Tabou Combo. There are also Michael Jackson, Tania Maria, Bobby Mc Ferrin, Erykah Badu, Marcus Miller, Jaco's (wacko and Pastorius), the Godfather James Brown, JK(the Jazz/funk band), Ram, my friend Bill Mudge, Jamiroquai, Snoop, James Jameson, Victor Wooten, Mc Solaar(the one who got me into rapping in Paris in the early 90s), D'Angelo, Mario Canonge, Moe's Kitchen, Brand new Heavies, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Aretha Franklin, Harry Connick Jr, and many more. But I have to say that the main sparkle which set my musical life alight has been Nickson Charles, a friend of mine with whom I STARTED MAKING music properly, composing, arranging, singing, jamming. He has been and still is my main source of inspiration, especially for acoustic guitar and bass guitar playing.

I sound like many artists, but I mainly sound like myself. My musical recipe contains ingredients from every piece of music that goes through my ears, regardless the genre. Most of the music I listen to would be unfamiliar to you, as they tend to be from modestly known/unknown by the general public artists.

Summertime
I am a 31 year-old musician who loves music more than himself. Without music, I can not feel happy. Those who know me will have noticed that I tend to always be in a good/ positive mood. The secret is that I have got a lovely family, lots of true friends and of course a lot of music in my life... "La musique adoucit les moeurs"(="music binds customs together"), we could say by extension).
I live in Southampton and perform as a freelance musician, getting involved in many bands, all styles. Some of the artists I have worked with/am currently working with are Semitone, Lonnie Liston Smith, Moe's Kitchen, Maceo Parker, Jamiroquai, Arnie Cottrel, Karen Gibson, Les Martial, Panama, Boss Nass, Spiral, Big Red, Phat Funk, Louche Manouche, etc... I play a variety of instruments(Bass/piano/drums/guitar/congas, etc...) which allows me to be as versatile a musician as I can. My freetime is very limited nowadays, so I burn the midnight oil almost every single night so that I can compose and write songs for myself and others after making time to spend with my family.
I have released my FOURTH solo album, titled "Né Ici vivre Ailleurs" (composed, produced and mixed in 6 days). The title is from one of the songs which was kindly written by my very good friend and poet Vanessa Loubier-Profir. Merci Vaness.) And like with the 3 previous albums, I am the sole instrumentist, singer, composer and producer of this new 17-track-album. However, there is one guest musician playing Flugel and trumpet (Paul Hawkins) on two tracks and another friend (Resco)rapping with me on two other tracks. This adds more spices to the songs. I am available for session work/ recording. If you are looking for someone to arrange your music, to put your words into music, etc...I can your be your man. My preferred styles are latin/funk/Gospel/Jazz/soul/caribbean/afro-cuban/Hip-hop/Compa. But I love to open myself to every style as you can hear in my last 3 albums.
