Hmmm should I list music or life influences? Because I believe they both play a vital role in artistic expression. Daniel Lanois has made a big impression on me both as a live performer and as a producer and musician. U2 is probably the most recognizable influence as far as my sound, though I am trying to not sound like them, its hard because I love using delay... lots of delay... :) Police, the orb, sundays, Jesiah, the list goes on.
God's work in my life also defines me not only as a musician but who I have become. It's been a long road too so it would be appropriate to list patience and forgiveness as influences as well. Harder to learn than any instrument, and more beautiful than any song. We as 'intellectual' people have narrow and selfish-serving definitions for those two things, from a spiritual perspective, its nice to know there is far more grace out there than we could ever know without being first the recepient of...
Sounds Like
Pop. I have tried to kill my pop tendancies in the past without much success. I guess I just need to embrace the bubblegum in me.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out All Things New.
Though this band is technically a solo artist, the studio is an open door for musicians from my church's praise band to come in and play and create with.
However as life has been unfolding around me what I am doing in the studio is becoming more seperated asa solo work as the group of musicians I am playing with have started a band called 'First Sight Savoir'... you can check them out here! http://www.myspace.com/firstsightsavior which is a more acoustic driven sound. I am planning on doing a more electric guitar driven sound since that is what I play :)
Hopefully soon I can be in the studio more and start crankin out some choons. Should be from pop to experimental and everything in between.

The show was a smashing success! 85 people attended, standing room only, and we signed-up 14 affiliate internet radio stations to carry the link on their show. Hope to see you at the meeting on Saturday. Sharing a song?
I noticed you are a Christian musician and wanted to invite you to visit (and hopefully join) the new network for Worldwide Worship Leaders and Musicians called 'Worship The Rock .com'.
It's a free web site for Worldwide worship leaders and musicians (of all ages) who are involved with leading worship or playing in a worship band to come and share wisdom, knowledge and also to be inspired and get equipped to excel in their gifts and learn to lead others in worship.
You can visit the site by clicking below:
http://www.worshiptherock.com
Some of the things you can expect to see on Worship The Rock are: Instructional videos, an active discussion forum, groups, blogs, worship music written by our members, set lists, photos and a community of worship leaders and musicians.
Look forward to seeing you on there soon!

DUDE! Nice eye! Yes, that was Palo Duro Canyon last year. I am insane with camping and backpacking these days. Do you ever go camping anymore? That would be a sweet thing to do together sometime. I am SICK with equipment. Ahhhh... the days of Sulphur... makes me smile - and hurl from the smell.
