This unique symposium and forum centered around the origins of waackin' was developed to educate and inform us all as to the foundations and origins of this popular art. As with most popular dance arts today, the lineage is often blurred. This lack of inherent foundation leads to a disconnect which works its way through the dance. This symposium is confident in it's assertion to fill in the vital gaps and provide an accurate history of waackin'. Moderated by Safi A. Thomas founder of The Hip-Hop Dance Conservatory.
Panelists, headed by Adolfo “Shabba-Doo” Quiñones founder of The House of Shway along with a cadre of well respected co-panelists whom have all impacted the growth and proliferation of this misunderstood art will be on hand to personally share their collective experience as well as first hand knowledge and answer the questions many of us have had for some time. This promises to be a non-partisan information session that in the spirit of good will and dance education will take us on a journey through the timeline of waackin' and bring us home to our roots.

SFHHDF PROVIDES-

· A packed house at the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre in which to perform
· Invitations to attend any and all VIP events hosted by the SFHHDF
