About me:
The Zazpiak Bat Basque Club was formed some 40 years ago. We have a membership of over 200 families and individuals. We are a member organization of NABO (North American Basque Organizations). We also have a website at www.renobasqueclub.org
We have 5 events annually:
Installation Dinner - typically last Saturday of January March Potluck & Mus Tournament - typically the 1st Saturday of March. It will be Sunday, March 9th, 2008 at the Sparks Rec. Center on Richards Way. June Picnic - typically the 1st Saturday of June Festival - typically the 2nd weekend of July San Martin Dinner & Dance - typically the 2nd Saturday of November
The UNR Range Club is sponsoring the first Speaker Series with Kent McAdoo. Kent will be speaking on Basque Herders - An End of an Era from his experience working along side Basque sheep herders for over a year.
This speech will be at the UNR Knowledge Center on May 1st.
Doors open at 5:00pm. Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments to follow.
Wish we could be there for the festival! Have a great time and hope all goes well! We saw Amuma says no in Elko last weekend- they were FABULOUS! They will really add a nice element to the festival! Say hi to everyone and we miss you all! :)
