The Reno Jazz Syndicate is a group of professional, talented, creative musicians who are all involved in one or several musical projects together, often formed from the same base group of people, organized for the advancement of musical understanding, performance, expression, communication, improvisation, innovation, interaction, creativity, and development. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------____________________________________________________________________________________________________ The recordings posted here are (brand new) raw mixes from UNR's 2009 Time and Place recordings, recorded April 4th and 5th at Imirage Sound Lab in Sparks, engineered by Tom Gordon. The tracks I have so far feature MANY musicians and their compositions. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Our goal is the concept of a musical network, cross-promotion, band integration, group creative efforts, and collective musical development. In addition to maximizing our potential for a lucrative work schedule through our art, we hope to aid in the spread and preservation of jazz and jazz related musics in the coming generation.
