The 2007 Red River Music Conference was held at the Barnwell Art & Garden Center from September 29 - October 6 in conjunction with the Red River Revel Arts Festival in Shreveport, Louisiana. The featured speaker on songwriting was Ande Rasmussen of Austin, Texas. In addition there were workshops on Blues Guitar Slide and Tuning Techniques, Band Management and Touring Contracts, Songwriting Compilations, Jazz Instrumentation, The Future of Urban Music, and Bass Guitar Techniques. Each evening featured a different genre of music from Gospel to Rap to Rock and more. Thanks to all who participated and made this a great conference!!!
The first annual 2006 Red River Music Conference with premiere guest speakers - John & JoAnn Braheny from Los Angeles was followed by a Songwriters Performing Stage at the Red River Revel in Shreveport.
Bands included Chronic Soul (featuring Rennie and Ghari), Boss Cotton, JBS Bleed (featuring John, Brittany, and Steve), Sterling Bryant accompanied by Sharon Bryant, Darrel Andrews, Missoni Lanza, And Wellington (featuring Stephen and Brandon), DC Sills, and story-telling by Joanna Ballard. The Revel will never be the same!!
Ren Ten Music, LLC has begun to break down the radio barriers in Northwest Louisiana through Talk Radio (KRMD) and Local Radio (KCSL) programming. They are currently working to provide local musicians promotional opportunities through local television programming also.

In order to find ourself as we all aspire to do at some point in our life...one must begin the quest of discovering who one is. It seems birth brings us into this world and from there one is taught the particulars of exsisting in the reality of his place on the earth at that time. For instance, a child born 50 years ago was taught a different reality than one born today. I use the word reality because reality is what one believes is possible, acceptable and real.
In the attempt to find ones self, it is impossible to do in a reality that is constantly changing unless one overstands that his taught reality is not reality. Reality should not change; therefore, our so called reality is not really reality. It is only a present condition or state with no bounderies.To overstand that is where the journey to the quest of self discovery begins. Remember the power of GOD has no BOUNTRIES. As one begins the journey of self discovery there are many obstacles to over come. First, a system put in place to distort ones view as well as concealling the true knowledge. Not to mention all the potions,drugs(legal and illegal),alcohol and whatever next they will come up with to give one a false euphoria and put them back to sleep. Through all of this, your self is tucked away inside waiting to be discovered. When you get there Like it or Not , that's who you are!! The unforunate thing is that many people never get there.
