Bio:

Percussionist, Drummer, Guitarist Musician, Songwriter, Producer, Arranger. RENU announces the release of her debut album 'Love from London' Love from London tells of an epic and cinematic journey through the City of London, unrequited Love, Death and Sex. The album features guest appearances from 7 different singers, Sebastian Rochford (Polar Bear) and Anna Tabbush (from the Tabbush English Folk family) The album was written in 2 years and recorded in London, Paris, Warsaw and Toronto.

My biggest influences in making Love from London have been LOVE, Serge Gainsbourg, Nick Drake, Ennio Morricone and Large Kooky Latin Orchestras.

RENU has been a highly sought after Percussionist specialising in Tabla, Latin Percussion, Cajon, Djembe, and Soundscaping. She is also a self-taught Drummer and Guitarist. As a percussionist she has worked with State of Bengal, Fun-Da-Mental, HKB Finn, Alabama 3, Southbank choreographer Gauri Sharma Tripathi, MIKA and Grace Jones.

The band 'RENU & holykuti' was formed recently as a response to the album. Fans wanted to hear the album live. The 8 piece band consists of: Drums, percussion, theremin, Double Bass, Guitar, 3 singers (including and Opera singer), Viola and Violin.

Since the recent release of the album 'RENU & holykuti' have played Soho Theatre bar, Rich Mix, Royal Festival Hall and have been booked for Queen Elizabeth front room and The Great Escape.

LOVE FROM LONDON: The sheer revellery of London party goers in 'London Revellers' to the summer solace of the 'Prince Charles' Cinema in the west end. On to another party; this time full of dandy Spanish Vampires in 'We love you'. A spaghetti western, a lonesome ballad, 'London to Alabama'......from the past, present and the future.
