NO TIME TO SAY GOODBYE - LIVE AT THE LOCAL & LIVE FESTIVAL 2009 - AN ORIGINAL BY REO RAE MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE BY REO RAE
Beauty. It’s a rare thing, especially where music is concerned.
Nothing quite matches the elation of hearing someone bare their soul through music. ‘Reo Rae’, an acoustic singer songwriter from East Sussex, is one such artist.
At the tender age of twenty, she is already an accomplished songwriter and the possessor of a beautifully effortless voice.
Her more intimate solo performances on the acoustic circuit are renowned for captivating even the most talkative gig goers and her electric sets are equally as potent.
Having studied classical music as a child, she decided to turn her hand to more contemporary styles and picked up the guitar in her early teens, playing songs by the likes of The Cranberries, Jeff Buckley and Massive Attack.
This broad combination of influences contributes to her popular appeal and eclectic sense of style.
Having honed her songwriting skills over the years, ‘Reo’ began working with a backing band with whom she recently recorded her self released debut E.P ‘Past The Green’.
Her heartfelt lyrics deliver bittersweet tales of desire, love and loss conveyed with an air of angelic innocence that cannot be ignored.
Featuring her sweet sentimentality and infused with soft melodies and lush harmonies, ‘Past The Green’ is a shining testament to Reo Rae’s unadulterated talent and marks the humble sophomore release of an English rose who is sure to make big waves on the acoustic scene in the very near future.
In a musical climate teaming with one-hit-wonders and flashes in the proverbial pan, it’s reassuring to know there’s at least one artist out there whose creativity hasn’t been corrupted by the latest musical fad.

Past The Green E.P Review
“ The first thing that hits you as you hear the choral intro and first few lines of Past The Green’s opener; “Home” is how strikingly familiar Reo Rae’s voice is to world renowned artist Dido.
With music to match, Reo Rae’s voice is one that is very relaxing and it would be easy to sit and let the mind wander with the warmth of her music flowing over you.
“Where Are You Now?” is another hit, with its lively upbeat rhythm and laid back, but nonetheless effective vocals from Reo Rae, displaying just how good her vocal range can be.
This debut EP is filled with beautiful songs and comes highly recommended. ”
The Gig Guide Verdict = 9/10 Stars.

As you may or may not be aware SoundARC hold a charity gig every year at Club 85 in Hitchin in aid of the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, and this year we are going to try something a little different from previous years.
This year we are going to take over the club and host 37 acts in one weekend putting full bands upstairs and acoustic acts downstairs in an event that we are calling ARCfest!
It all starts on Friday 4th December at 7pm and then continues on through Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th from 12pm-11pm
As well as raising money for the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, ARCfest will showcase all the different genres of bands that we at SoundARC have come across over the last 4 and a half years. Over this weekend a lot of the acts that you will see don’t get a chance to play a great local venue like Club 85, So as well as hearing new music you will see all manors of genres and styles from acoustic - Metal - Indie - Rock - Punk - Electro - Ska - Funk - Hip Hop/Rap - Alternative - Rhythm & Blues - Reggae - Grunge and loads more that I cant remember!
We wanted to let you know that the amazing Yellow Fish Mobile Recording Studio is available for hire at special winter rates for a limited time only!!
Now the festival season is coming to an end we can record your gig from prices starting at just £300!!!
Or, If you want a full DVD of your gig, with an interview and Live album, packages are available from Just £995!!! Everything you need to make your Merch stand and website complete.

A friend of mine posted your version of Jesus Don't Want me for a Sunbeam on her MySpace blog and I was really impressed with it. So I looked you up on Youtube and listened to some of your other material and was blown away by your voice. Lovely. Just lovely. So was glad to find you on MySpace. The next thing I'll try to do is pick up one of your CD's.
Glad you like the song. Look forward to hearing you at Local & Live, have told the band how fab you were on Saturday night, you blew me and my friends away! A great find! Kx
Thanks for playing the Fishbowl . You won over some serious music fans on Saturday at a rather intimate gig. Sorry your mum and dad had to pay. The E.P is great
