Repeat Offender Records - Lights Out E.P ASBO 004
Repeat Offender Records was started in 2004 by DJs Wax
Inferno. Both DJs loved the old skool hardcore sound from the 91 to 93 era and
craved a return to it. Both DJs had been there back in the glorious days of
whistles and smiley faces but when the scene split in 94 they both ventured over
to the sounds of house and other genres. By a chance they met on a
Breakpirates.com radio show and they both remainsed about the glory days of
hardcore and wished it was back again. both DJs had been producing for a while
and had made a few tunes in the mould of their favorite era, Repeat Offender
Records was born !!!. After enjoying the tunes each other had made they decided
to just go for it and put them out. The First Offence EP was released in June
2006 and did very well and was most recognized for their joint track
"collaborate" which received lots or airplay on numerous pirate stations and
underground clubs. This fueled them on to producing further EPs and guesting on
many other labels with their own style and interpretation of the sound they
loved so much. Later EPs saw them experiment with their own sounds in different
directions under aliases, Wax A.K.A. The Wise Man and DJ Inferno A.K.A. Alex
Ruff. The direction of the label was simple ,re-create the sound from 91 - 93
and push the new sub genre oh "hardcore breaks" of which Repeat Offender Records
has been established from the start. We are always looking for talented artists
for the label so please feel free to send us any demos. Wax Inferno would
like to thanks everybody for their support on this label from the many DJs
playing the stuff out and on the radio to the public who buy them! Music has
always been a passion of ours and always will be, the label is run purely for
the love ! Keep the vibe alive!!
