REPLOGEN was born in 1999, to foster the creative output of Chris Nixon. The experience known as REPLOGEN can not be lumped into a single genre. Some might label it noise, power electronics, industrial, or simply "experimental". This last term is probably best, each recording is indeed an experiment, rarely is the same concept visited upon twice. Shattered rhythmic fragments are married with chaotic soundscapes, distorted textures, harsh noises and samples, and together they dance, in a frenzied state of mind. One might say the tracks have as many personalities as Nixon does....
