As the Representative in Congress for the 11th District of Michigan, I have focused my efforts on preserving and promoting manufacturing and small businesses, because I know they form the back bone of our community's economy.
I have steadfastly supported winning the War on Terror and increasing our homeland security; I will continue to fight tirelessly to reduce taxes and the size and scope of government; and, most importantly, I will make every effort to listen to and serve my constituents.
I have been elected by my colleagues in the House to serve as Chairman of the Republican House Policy Committee, a leadership position once held by Vice President Dick Cheney. I also serve on the House Financial Services Committee where I serve on the Capital Markets, Insurance, and Government Sponsored Enterprises and the Housing and Community Opportunity subcommittees.
I know I had said I wasn’t going to do this anymore because of the time involved, but this is really important! I want to thank everyone who has expressed their appreciation for my sending links to articles. However, this is probably the last time I am going to be able to do it this way. I just have too much going on right now. So I am going to switch to doing it via bulletins, even though bulletins haven’t worked that well for me in the past. I’m hoping I can count on you to help change that, for we are truly struggling to preserve America.
