“LESLIE HOWARD: A QUITE REMARKABLE LIFE”“THE MYSTERY OF FLIGHT 777”
TWO UNIQUE DOCUMENTARY PROJECTS
Repo Films is in the midst of shooting a very special documentary on the life of the legendary film star Leslie Howard. This project, which has the support of Leslie’s daughter, Doodie Howard, is intended as the definitive film on the life and career of this unjustly neglected, hauntingly ethereal star.
Whilst many remember him only for his appearance as Ashley Wilkes in “Gone With the Wind” our film illustrates the range of Howard’s work and activities as never before, with previously unseen film material, and many newly filmed interviews with family members, colleagues and historians.
Made with passion and care, this is a richly detailed, in depth documentary about Howard's life… as well as his tragic death, when the passenger plane carrying him home from Lisbon was shot down by a squadron of Luftwaffe.
We have just completed shooting a series of interviews for this project and also for The Mystery of Flight 777 – which examines the still unsolved reasons for the shooting down of Flight 777, and takes a close look at the other passengers on board the doomed plane. We are interviewing relatives and friends of those involved and we will even hear one of the Luftwaffe pilots involved in the attack give his testimony.
Our host and narrator on both of these projects is the Emmy Award winning presenter Derek Partridge (www.derekpartridge.com). Aside from being an extremely accomplished presenter, Derek has an amazing personal link with Leslie Howard – that uniquely qualifies him for this project. Derek was actually seated on Flight 777 (he was 7 years old!), when Howard – as a VIP – came along at the last moment… and took Derek’s seat on the doomed Dakota airplane.
In some cases, these interviews, represent the only filmed testimony from those still living and as suc these documentaries will have immense historic value.
Who I'd like to meet:
Repo Films is entirely independent and we have so far entirely self financed these productions. However there is still a great deal of work to be done before these documentaries will be complete. There are more interviews to film, in Europe and America, as well as various production expenses to meet in order to complete production of these documentaries – which we believe could have themes which would be of interest to a substantial number of viewer here and in the States.
So we are offering contributor shares in the productions to all interested parties. Shares can be obtained in values of £300, £500 or £1,000.

Shares in this project would make an ideal gift for someone who has an interest in either Leslie Howard or in the story behind the destruction of Flight 777. Although these shares WILL NOT PAY any monetary return, nor confer any editorial authority on the owner, all share holders will receive complimentary DVDs of these documentaries when they are completed.
In addition to this a £300 share-holder will receive a screen credit in the finished production as well as a certificate of thanks for their contribution. You will also be able to check the production progress on myspace through Repo Films blogs.
A £500 share holder will receive a screen credit in the finished production, a certificate of thanks for their contribution and a regular emailed newsletter updating them on production developments.
A £1,000 share holder will not only receive a screen credit in the finished production, and a certificate of thanks for their contribution, they will also receive a regular emailed newsletter updating them of developments plus a SECRET PASSWORD which will enable them to view edited sequences for the documentary as they are completed.
