REPROBATE - PLANET CRUSHING METAL
"This I believe in... I believe in death. I believe in disease. I believe in injustice and inhumanity, torture and anger and hate... I believe in murder. I believe in pain. I believe in cruelty and infidelity. I believe in slime and stink and every crawling, putrid thing... every possible ugliness and corruption, you son of a bitch.
I believe... in you."

Who?
Formed in Sheffield, UK in the early 1990’s the band were successfully delivering a unique mix of fast and atmospheric heavy metal. Striving for originality and technical excellence and playing to live audiences and supporting bands such as Pestilence, Malevolent Creation & Skyclad, as well as producing three recordings, finally signing to GWB records to produce the Le Carceri EP in 1994, GWB’s lack of distribution might and promotional ability lead to band members becoming disillusioned and inevitably disbanding shortly afterwards.
Reprobate is back!
Some 15 years later (in may of 2008) a MySpace site was created, a year later the site has received over 26,000 hits and following messages of support and popularity by fans the band has been inspired to reform.
Terrorizer Magazine
Reprobate’s popular “Wickerman” appeared on the Fear Candy cover CD of the March 2009 Edition of Terrorizer Magazine, this had an immediate effect by raising the bands international profile. Readers of Terrorizer Magazine voted REPROBATE the most popular unsigned band, prompting an appearance in the September issue plus a forthcoming feature article to be included in the near future.
Material
Terrorizer readers have proved that Reprobate’s sound is still popular and with well over 60 minutes worth of material readily available the band are hoping to record with much fresher modern production, this would include the ever popular and commercially attractive WIckerman, the atmospheric and 11 minute opus Canto 7, plus new songs Fleshmelt and List Of Answered Prayers. Live appearances in early 2010 are expected to promote the new release and the band is actively seeking to work closely with a record label to meet this deadline.
Future
ReprobatE will follow the successful release of the existing material with a collection of new songs expanding the core sound of the band. The line-up is original with the addition of Jonni Willis (Sukmonki / Slugs / Systematic Insanity) replacing Gary Spooner, plus special guest appearances to be confirmed.
