Repulsive Slaughter were formed from the ashes of the deathmetalband Midian (1992-2009).
Allthough quite succesfull, the members of Midian decided to quit working under the name of Midian and start up a whole new band all together in the beginning of 2009. On the one hand because the name Midian is a name that’s already used fairly often in metal. Another reason is all the founding members of Midian were replaced by other personnel and the style of the band has evolved since then.
The name Repulsive Slaughter was chosen as it is a better representation of the style of metal the band is currently playing.
The songmaterial can best be described as brutal mid- and high tempo, modern deathmetal. Ofcourse the oldschool elements haven’t been forgotten.
Themes used in the songs are largely about unleashing sadistic killing needs by mentally deranged individuals. Yeah, we know just what you like……
Tracks for a full length debut are in the finishing stadium. They first will be recorded in demo versions however to see if the results are satisfactory. The first demo versions can be heard on the mediaplayer on this page. Be sure to check them out.
Next to the new songs, we have re-recorded some old stuff we’re planning to keep playing on stage. These songs will appear on this page in due time aswell.
Apart from recording, we will continue to play live as much as we can. We’re trying to play on some festivals this summer and are busy arranging other gigs. Drop us a line if you have possibilities for us to play or if you want to share gigs.
