It seems you have stumbled upon my humble myspace.
The first thing you have probably noticed is the picture of the soldier with the swastika on his shield.
Your first impression would more than likely conclude that it represents Nazi fascism and racism. When in fact I decided to put it on my page as a means of conveying that not everything should be taken at face value, as with most images on my site. As some of you may know the Swastika has been used long before Nazi Germany came to order by many other cultures and religions, but for those of you who do not know this I have typed a crash course of a few of the cultures and the history of the symbols use:
Hinduism identifies the symbol as the evolution of the universe when it is facing right and the involution of the universe when it is reversed and is considered an extremely holy and auspicious symbol.
The symbol in question is known in Japan as a Manji which is used in Buddhist scripture, meaning eternality. It also represents ‘Dharma- universal harmony and the balance of opposites. It was originated in the 5th century BC
The form of the Swastika has even been found to be used by Native Americans. Many tribes used it for various meanings such as the Hopi’s who used it as the symbol for the wandering Hopi clan. The Navajo used it as one symbol for swirling winds which is a sacred image which represents a legend whom was used in healing rituals. In the Kuna’s tradition of the swastika it symbolizes the octopus which created the world, each tentacle (limb) points to the 4 cardinal points. Rainbow, Sun, Moon and the Stars.
All the above mentioned meanings to this well known and notorious symbol are quite positive and meaningful in a peaceful representation. The Nazi party gave this widely used symbol a bad reputation in the modern world. Ironically, Adolf Hitler believed he was doing right in what he did. One race would result in world peace, a far fetched idea to some yet easily believed by those whom think about the conflicts of today and of ages past. I am not condoning or supporting Adolf Hitler in his method of action to see his dream/belief become a reality, but simply stating that he had peace in mind which suitably suites the Swastika.

As you may be wondering what the point of such a rant would be, I shall answer as simply as possible…. Do not assume the worst of someone or something because you take them at face value. Many people may look dangerous or ‘freaky’ but are just regular people whom love, hate, learn, teach, receive, give, cry, scream, yell and laugh.
Not every viscous looking dog will bite you. Not every drug user will kill or rape you, not every black man will rob you, not every Satanist will sacrifice you, not every yuppie will turn their nose down on you, not every spider will nest in your dreads, not every Christian will forgive you, not every bear will maul you, not every shark will attack you and not every flower smells sweet.
Anyway, feel free to judge and create your own opinion and impression of me from this site . I always enjoy a good conversation about ideas and such.

I just wanted to stop by to say hello and give you a little update on what Blood Root Mother is up to! We will be recording an EP of new music in August, and we recently finished recording a live DVD. The DVD is currently unreleased and I actually just saw it for the first time yesterday. It features the last two performances with Tony Ellis still alive, and some footage from the tribute show we played on the night of his funeral.
There are some cool covers, as well as some NEW music that will be on our upcoming EP. We're very excited about the new music and we'd like to share a sneak peak with you. Here's a video of a tune called Run Bobby Run:
