Been playing music since I was about 4 years old, plinking around on the piano and figuring out how to put the notes together to make a song. Took formal lessons on piano from about age 6 to age 9. In Jr high I started playing baritone sax and played for the marching band and our schools stage band. Joined the Air Force in 76 and since I couldn't drag a piano all over the place I decided to pick up a guitar and started teaching myself from songbooks with the chord diagrams. Then I started getting together with other folks who enjoyed playing and just jammed on the weekends and most nights. From there started sitting in at small gigs hear and there and slowly eased into full bands playing clubs and other functions.
Recently started learning Fiddle, Banjo and Mandolin.. One of these days I may even know how to play one of them :)

Roger, I do hope you can make the show. It's a small venue, but full of lots of great folks who really enjoy music. I had a great time listening to your show and thanks for playing those songs for me (including the Broken Wire tune). Normally, I'm not near the computer on Saturday nights because our desktop is downstairs and we mostly hang out upstairs, but my husband had his laptop home tonight and I ran across your bulletin and jumped at the chance to listen to your show. Hopefully I'll be able to catch another one soon. Enjoy your Sunday and thanks again!
