The latest hype in the MMA ring, hands down, belongs to Miami native Rene Martinez. The 35-yr old Cuban-American fighter is best known for his "street credibility" as the leader to the infamous street gang Latin Syndicates. With his debut MMA fight resulting in a big win, Martinez (better known to the world as Level 1219) is basically getting his positive image recognized as he continues to strive for a higher 'level' of stardom. Of course, just like any full-time hustler, you can't just have one specific thing going for you. Which is what brings me to writing this article. Read on to find out what this living legend has accumulated for us.... Then comes along another type of industry that is very well common among the kind of population fighting attracts. I am talking about making good music, explaining the trials and tribulations of such people. Underground hip-hop king P-DOE has been on top of this, as he coaches Level on his sixteens. In case some of you do not know, Level is making his presence felt on the hip-hop genre as he working on launching his rap career. This new chapter in his world will depict the struggles he has been through. Things that I can tell you about in this article, but that wouldn't serve a purpose. As hearing it in rap, with vivid pictures being painted and true life being spoken, you can only use your imagination to see it in your head. up on a soap box...yelling into megaphones killing hard rocks and using carcasses as stepping stones. i had to promise that i'd stop holding my marches the day that chris columbus got crucified on golden arches. but my pedestal was too tall to climb off. in fact, that's the reason for the high horse. and from up here i see the marines in hummers on a conquest. underdogs with wonderbras in a push up contest. all for the sake of military recruitment. it felt like kent state the way they targeted the students.
so i galloped off whistling "ohio." the rest of 'em were stuck doing stand up at a cricket convention. who would they die for? is it the same machine that leaves the quality of life poor? an abominable colony of cyborgs clogging up the property that i bought with eye sores.
that clever ad campaign ain't worth the time taken from minimum-waged labor. i don't care how half naked or fake she looks. she smells like dirty cash and aged paper books.<b
There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.
*** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives.
1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
