About Rescue Mission

Austin based musical project, Rescue Mission, is the current culmination of years of collaboration and sound development between Dustin Payton (lead guitar) and Chad Pearman (rhythm guitar/vocals) who met as youths in 1990. Founded in early 2005, Rescue Mission was formed in the interest of creating an 80s British post-punk inspired pop group with a mixture of 90s shoegaze/wall of sound influences. In the autumn of 2005, Jason Fenimore joined the band on bass. New drummer Mark Son was introduced to the lineup in the Summer of 2007. Rescue Mission released their first record on March 6th 2007, followed by a US tour supporting legendary post punk icon Mark Burgess of the Chameleons UK. Rescue Mission begins their follow-up 2nd LP in the Spring of 2008 followed by performances to support the record in the U.S. and U.K.
