well, we reckon we're 'unique' so we'll leave it to the listener to make those judgments. :)
‘Imaginary America’ is a group of songs that are connected by a common thread; ‘America’ as seen by both of us from the outside, coloured by the culture that has disseminated from it.
We’ve used various sources to reflect the America we are familiar with; the open road, one-horse towns, 9-11, Indian reservations, Kennedy, black rights , Motown, Woodstock, suburbia, the ‘summer of love’, West Coast, East Coast, cop cars, the space race, and the early days of cinema.
Some of the songs are companion tunes others are reflective in nature; some center on specific events while others are more asomatous.
This is our journey thru Imaginary America, a collage of places and peoples that exist somewhere between the real and unreal.
