About Rescue Recovery [R.I.P.- Final Songs Up NOW!!!]
Formed mere minutes after the dissolving of Go, Robo! Go!, Atlanta-based quintet Rescue Recovery has shown a penchant for doing things in their own unique way since their beginning. The band's debut self-titled EP (recorded at Virtuo Sound Studios) shows a strong dedication to clever songcrafting and melody walking hand-in-hand with sheer brutality, paired together in a subtle and well thought-out manner rarely found in an unsigned local band. One trip to one of their incendiary live shows and something else becomes blatantly apparent: that despite weathering tornadoes, crazy middle-aged women, and lineup changes, this band loves what they are doing, and they have a great deal of fun doing it.
The summer of 2009 finds the band, with new frontman Danny Garcia, in the process of writing and preparing to record their as-yet-untitled second EP. Live performances of the new material reveal that Rescue Recovery is evolving into a band that is more on the same page than ever, maturing their off-kilter song structures and sharpening the metallic assault that serves as the backbone, with Garcia's fresh vocals taking the music's melodies into all new sonic soundscapes.
Clearly this is a band that is in a constant state of reaching for new sonic heights; that will always have a new surprise around the corner. Keep your eyes, ears, and minds open accordingly.
