UPCOMING EVENTS!

Monday 6th July
THAT PETROL EMOTION

This critically lauded and highly skilled pop band's efforts to break into the mainstream were consistently thwarted despite a splendid arsenal of songs. The band was originally formed when the O'Neill brothers, Sean (b. 26 August 1957, Londonderry, Northern Ireland; guitar) and Damian (b. Stephen Damian O'Neill, 15 January 1961, Belfast, Northern Ireland; bass) parted from the fragmenting Undertones in 1983. A new approach was immediate with Sean reverting to his Irish name (having always appeared as John in his former band), and Damian switching to bass instead of guitar. They added Ciaran McLaughlin (b. 18 November 1962, Londonderry, Northern Ireland; drums), Reámann O'Gormain (b. 7 June 1961, Londonderry, Northern Ireland; guitar, ex-Bam Bam And The Calling), and, most importantly, dynamic Seattle, Washington, USA-born frontman Steve Mack (b. 19 May 1963, Greenwich Village, New York City, New York, USA; vocals).

SPIRITUALIZED

This dark, neo-psychedelic band was formed by J. Spaceman aka Jason Pierce (b. 19 November 1965, Rugby, Warwickshire, England; vocals/guitar) after his messy break-up from former writing partner and Spacemen 3 cohort Pete Kember aka Sonic Boom. Based in Rugby, they were actually inaugurated in 1990 while Spacemen 3 was still officially active. Pierce took the remnants of that band with him, namely Mark Refoy (guitar), Will Carruthers (b. 9 November 1967, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England; bass) and Jon Mattock (drums), and added keyboard player Steve Evans.

"The Swiines make bombastic rock. With swagger and poise they naturally ooze rock n rolledness in a way others can only imitate. Their sound is earthy, gritty and accomplished. Their stage presence is compelling and the songs they deliver are as memorable as they are potent."

Dean Jackson - Mercury Music Prize judge and BBC DJ.

    Hiya

Some news for you. T:M:H are through to the Bloodstock Battle Of The Bands FINAL on Saturday the 16th of May at the Rockhouse [formerly First Floor] in Derby!

We are all super excited as it would genuinely be a dream come true for me/us to play Bloodstock but the judges decision is of course heavily dependent on how much of a crowd we draw so we really do need your support more than ever *puppy dog eyes*
if you only ever come to one T:M:H gig then please make this the one. even if rock or metal isn't your thing, please come along anyway and support me and my band because it would honestly mean so much. besides its something different and it would be fun to hang out and get messy!

As you are probably aware we are auditioning bass players at the moment (apply within) but our previous bassist Stu is filling in..it is the last time you will see him on stage with us so its going to be a pretty major night for us..would be nice to have you there
    thanks and muchhh loveth.
