The Residence is a show home for contemporary art. Founded in 2005 by artist Ingrid Z, the gallery rejects hospitalisation of art for a venue that projects passion, personality, and communication. Formerly situated in a shop front and now relaunched in a church cottage residence (AUG 2007), it is home to experimental programming and a diversity of media including painting, photography, video, installation, and more. The Residence presents an ever-evolving social environment and situation for artists and audience to interact with. The gallery is very much a live structure that can be enjoyed as a whole or in its individual pieces on show.
