Formed in spring 2006, and having gone through a good few line-up changes, Resistance tries to take influence froma good few genres, such as surf, psychobilly, extreme metal, as well as punk to create a band that's a little different from your average streetpunk type band. Having played support to acts such as Oi Polloi, and the diverse Even In Blackouts, is testament to the fact that we will play just about anywhere! Except East Kilbride. Never again. :(
Thanks to the cunning persuasion and organisational skills of Dek, we get to play abroad too, we've done a couple of dates in Croatia and Slovenia, and are going back this summer to do it again, and more, for another 2 weeks!
This is a hobby for us, as we love to get pissed and play live, occasionally taking our shirts off, swinging from the rafters, or running about naked in gas masks. This is why our music maybe isn't the most complicated, and though Jesus could apparently walk on water, he couldn't play bass on this much beer!
