Emerging from the scorched plains of Phoenix, Arizona in 2003, Resist the Embrace was formed by guitarist Rudy Morales and vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Adam Teller. Determined to create a unique and powerful musical style, the two continued to write songs at their home studio until they found a musical soul mate in bassist/sequencer Eric Fiori. The band's influences are not worn on their sleeve, although fans of Tool, System of a Down, Nine Inch Nails, and Faith No More have embraced them with open arms. Since the band's first show at Nita's Hideaway on October 4th, 2003, they have slammed the Arizona music scene, whether it's playing at Bank One Ball Park with Goldfinger, opening for Lit at The Sets, or playing any of the other numerous venues across the valley, Resist The Embrace has managed to captivate the audience every time.
Aside from playing countless live shows, the band also found time between their work schedules to record their first E.P. entitled "Ophidia". The E.P. was recorded at Villain recording studios by Byron Filson and received massive radio play by 98 KUPD the valleys premier rock station as well as ASU and NAU college radio and THE EDGE 103.9 independent radio. The bands fan base only grew when they established a huge listener following on myspace.com, getting over five thousand hits on their songs. The Ophidia E.P. also received rave reviews in The Buzz magazine, The Rep, and The New Times a few months after its release. Afterward, the band continued to set up fan pages on purevolume.com, azhardcoremetal.com, and their own website resisttheembrace.com. Since the release of Ophidia, Resist the Embrace has finalized their line-up with virtuoso drummer/keyboardist Greg "Yetti" Frassetti. Resist The Embrace have plans to record a full length CD and tour behind it in the future.
