Influences
RESONATION are based in West Yorkshire, in the UK. originally starting out as a 3 piece live band, the sound expanding with the inclusion of keyboards and a lead guitarist. The NME has described the band as a "stunning new reggae band - with a lyrical consciousness that is all their own" and they had a top 20 hit in the national UK ROOTS UNSIGNED CHART. They are currently working on their own self produced album which will be released on the PLANET GECKO RECORDS label.
Along the way they have played support acts for Finlay Quaye, Dreadzone, Zion Train, Misty In Roots, Surreal Madrid, Fat Freddys Drop, Freestylers, Gabbidon, Homegrown, Urban Species and The Roots.

Sounds Like
Reggae influences include Bob Marley, Basil Gabbidon, Burning Spear, Jacob Miller, Bunny Wailer, Horace Andy, and Lucky Dube. Also influenced by rock artists such as The Stone Roses, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Paul Weller, The Doors, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, etc.
Resonation have been best described as a bluesy wah wah drenched funky roots rocking Reggae band. The band have a 6 piece line up and the full debut album is due for release in early 2010 through independent label 'Planet Gecko Reckords' and available to download universally through Reggae distribution giants 'Zojak Worlwide'. The band have played all over the UK including The Jug of Ale in Birmingham, The Trades Club in Hebden, The Brook in Southampton and most of the popular northern music venues. We have also proven to be very popular at summer festivals having played at various events including a slot on the Glastonbury Glade stage (as an entry in their 'New Talent' competition), Birminghams Artsfest, Huddstock and WOYD (all in 2008), and the highlight of 2009 festival tour was a slot at Kendal Calling alongside The Streets and The Zutons. On our travels we have supported a number of established headline reggae acts such as Finlay Quaye, Dreadzone, Zion Train, Fat Freddys Drop and Gabbidon - and are keen to continue getting crowds rocking to their original reggae beat.
