The last two years have been a non-stop, roller-coaster ride for energetic four-piece rock outfit Respond. In an industry dominated by all-male ‘indie-by-numbers’ groups they are a breath of fresh air with their punchy, melodic rock/pop songs and slick live show.
Not only have they played hundreds of shows across the UK, but they’ve carved quite a name for themselves at several massive festivals, supported chart-topping bands, rocked legendary venues, secured glowing reviews in national magazines, been played on local, national and international radio, and featured on BBC national television.
2007-2008 promises to bring further, greater success with the independent release of their Debut EP ‘Dirty Little Secrets’ via their own ‘Mooch*Star Records’ Label. Produced and mixed by ‘Bullet For My Valentine’ and ‘Fightstar’ master engineer and producer Matt Hyde at some of the UK’s top studios, many top UK and international labels are already clamouring for copies of the bands 10 out of 10 rated first release.
Initial reviews indicate that the band can more than live up to the hype with reviewers heralding both the band and their EP, as “completely flawless,” and “the best thing in the uk for ages.”
With support gigs for major chart players in the pipeline for later this year and a tour planned for 2008 in support of the EP, Respond is a name that you will no doubt be seeing much more of for a long time to come.
