Instrumental swells ebb and flow as atmospheric density gives way to an ever evolving dynamic shift in direction, which in turn rises to breaking point, via jarring white noise and a crescendo that could possibly be standing on its last legs. A foreboding tension is ever present under an ethereal density and urgency, the resulting sound being an eclectic and continuously evolving undercurrent of melody and noise which looks to envelope the listener.
Rest initially began life in late 2001. A demo was recorded and numerous gigs around Ireland with numerous bands followed while the four piece wrote the material for their debut album, Burning in Water Drowning in Flame, released on Out On A Limb Records in 2004.
A member departed, and a new mini-album was written and recorded, signaling a change in direction from their decidedly Post-Rock roots, before a new member was duly recruited. The band embarked on their first British tour in April when they supported Swedish post-metal outfit Cult of Luna. In October of 2006, a track from the bands mini-album was used on the Kerrang compilation album, New Breed, alongside a host of new and upcoming British acts.
Operation: Impending Doom, was released in January 2007 on Out On A Limb Records. Over two tracks and twenty minutes it offers a significant shift in tone and mood from previous releases.
The band played some dates around the country in support of the new release in January and February, followed by a support slot on Isis’s last Dublin date at the Temple Bar Music Centre.
Currently writing new material for a new album which (we hope) will be out sometime early next year...

We at 'Clitoral Defecation,' are over the moon about the fact we are now 'friends'! Your internet 'friendship,' is very dear to us,for instance, the non replying to messages, the deleting of bulletins before you read them and just general ignorance between your lovely self and 'Clitoral Defecation,'is going to make our day and make us moist.....oh so moistly soggy.....yummmm!!
This whirlwind of nonsense of a friendship of ignorance is going to be quite the fantastic voyage we are about to embark on! All Aboard! *giggles*
Apart from enjoying long walks in seedy neighbourhoods and candle lit orgies, 'Clitoral Defection' are self absorbed, hateful of everything and completely ignorant to morality!
So please,if youre feeling frisky, dirty, a tad naughty, drunk or smacked out on your narcotic of choice..... come sit on our lap, tickle our chin and whisper sweet nothings in our ear!
yours sincerely and whimsically Bag O' Cans - Supreme High Lord Chancellor of Filth Clitoral Defecation

Only 2 weeks to the Peace Zone launch at Charleville Castle inTullamore on June bank holiday weekend May 29th-June 1st.
To keep ye in the loop of what we're having on the day, i'm delighted to announce that we got granted permission to broadcast Jeremy Gilley's documentary 'A Day AFter Peace' which we'll have screened on the main stage. Stephen James Smith will be reciting poems and we will have a discussion in the Peace tent on the theme 'Ireland must pioneer civilian peacekeeping actions' after the video projection of Jeremy Gilley's documentary and hopefully an art exhibition in one of the ballrooms inside to castle. As for the music artist performers, we have Ian Doyle (ex-Chaplin), Leanne Harte, Erik Noon & The Future Gypsies, SuperJimenez, Oliver Cole (ex-Turn), The Bionic Rats and Lauren Guillery. We have to switch the outdoor music off at half 12 but we will be moving the PA from the Peace tent to one of the rooms inside the castle and hopefully have a bit of an all-night jam session / open mic after Oliver Cole takes on the desks for a DJ set.
Throughout the day there will be plenty of workshops available like salsa, flamenco, bellydancing, african drum, circus skills etc and food stalls, a special bbq area and a few holistic stands. We'll also have 2 bellydance troupes performing in the Peace tent in the evening.
Membership to Peace Zone is only€10 per person and gives access to all the amenities happening at the castle on the day (except the dance workshops which are to be booked and paid separetly) as well as one-nights free camping. Anyone willing to stay for a few more nights can do so by paying an extra 10 quid per person per night. This will be monitored via wristband. People can come as early as 6PM on the friday and sign up to Peace Zone membership at the gate. The event really kicks off at about 11am on Saturday with the dance workshops. Documentary will be screened at 3PM.
