Having played together for the last 2 years in a French Rock band called Cotton Candy, Stan (drums), Thomas (guitars) and Julien (bass) have recently decided to form another band, with a more "rock" sound, more like the music they like (pearl jam, incubus, stone temple pilots, r.e.m., etc.). .. That's how Giuseppe (vocals) joined the band in November 2009... Immediately, the feeling was good and all four felt that something was going on, that the creativity was growing... .. In two months time, about 10 songs were composed. A first small gig during a jam session in January 2010 gave the opportunity to the band to try a few of those songs in front of an audience. The crowd was receptive, enjoyed and encouraged Restless Waves to continue on this way..... More songs are being created, and a first demo should see the light of the day quite soon... Stay tuned for more "restless waves" ;-)

Our main influences are from the grunge scene/era. Think of bands like pearl jam, stone temple pilots or soundgarden.. Naturally, our music is a patchwork of all the music we listen, of all the music we've heard, liked. Other bands have great influence on our music: Radiohead, R.E.M., queens of the stone age, the Doors, Jeff Buckley, to name a few...
