An anointed 15 member Gospel ensemble established in 2002 based out of the heart of the Midwest, Milwaukee, WI, Jevon D. Brock & Restoration return to Gospel music’s center stage with the release of their fourth album recorded live aptly entitled Urgent Messages. A high spirited and anointed collection of songs aimed at encouraging, motivating, and inspiring listeners during a time of uncertainty in our society and the world around us.
Singing since the age of eight and garnering his musical ear and training through singing in choral ensembles during grade and high school, Jevon’s musical foundation has prepared him to become a staple in the Gospel music scene.
As a BMI songwriter and producer, he is the CEO and founder of Brock Music Group established in 2000. Inspired by other notable Gospel greats from Thomas Whitfield and Milton Brunson & the Tommies, Jevon admits to be a fan of the “Detroit” Gospel sound. In the spirit of ingenuity and creative direction group leader and founder Jevon D. Brock sets the pace and tone of this latest collection. With energy akin to that of Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett, and Donald Lawrence, Jevon’s vision of providing musical and spiritual therapy is demonstrated through the musical tapestry woven on Urgent Messages. From high spirited choir driven styled cuts like the album’s lead single “Jesus is Coming Back,” Jevon and Restoration sing with sheer intensity, the lead single’s message puts it’s listeners on notice of the Lord’s impending return. With the head nodding album cut “Look Up” reminds its listeners of the importance of casting all of your cares on the Lord. Taking a more subtle approach at inspiring the masses Urgent Messages includes the beautifully crafted and arranged “I Love Me” which serves as a self esteem booster, sure to be a fan favorite.
Stating that Urgent Messages is his group’s most solid album to date Jevon says, “With this album I wanted to meet people where they were, wherever they found themselves, no matter their circumstance. This album is for them.”
Jevon D. Brock & Restoration has shared the stage with some of Gospel and Urban music’s elite, from – Dr. Bobby Jones, LaShun Pace, VaShawn Mitchell, R. Kelly, 112, and Marques Houston. No matter the venue their core message is one of hope, inspiration, and lifting up the name of Jesus Christ. Scoring modest success with the release of their 2008 single “Still Working Miracles” from their previous album ‘8’ which impacted radio nationally last year. From the success of the group’s last album they have successfully toured regionally and nationally for over a year and a half garnering fans along the way.
